What we learned Saturday Chargers game 12/16/17

  1. Late flags.
I don't know what exactly was going on with the Refs, but most of the calls were really late. Like probably shouldn't have been called late.

   2. The penalty on Bennie Logan was legit.
I know this one is somewhat controversial, but the Refs were right. Parker had already recovered the ball and was running, Bennie did a blind side block into Hunter Henry. This is a call I can get on board with.

      3. The NFL has to better define what a catch is and get some better refs.
This is an  NFL epidemic, and the Chiefs once again got their fair share of it. Hunt touchdown catch that was ruled incomplete was a complete joke.(see the pun.)  Here is a link to video to get a reminder of it.
( https://www.sbnation.com/2017/12/16/16786386/kareem-hunt-kansas-city-chiefs-touchdown-catch-rule-los-angeles-chargers )  The Nfl rule book says "If a player has control of the ball, a slight movement of the ball will not be considered a loss of possession. He must lose control of the ball in order to rule that there has been a loss of possession."  Even with  that little twist, Hunt was still able to keep control and secure the ball. Even though in that game it didn't end up mattering to much, it's still very irritating especially for him. That would have been his third TD of the night.

4 Kareem the dream seems to be back.
He ran 24 carries for 155 yards and a TD. To top it off he also had 7 receptions for 51 yards and another TD, and should have had another one.

5 Smith had a Smith type game with a deep shot.
He didn't look to shabby at all. He went 23 of 30 for 231 yards and a pair of TDs. He didn't seem to dominate, but he didn't seem to hurt either.

6 The Tight Ends came in clutch.
Harris had a 7 yard reception, and made a crucial push during the muffed punt. Charles had a reception for 18 yards, and had some good blocks the whole night against Bosa. Kelce got 6 receptions for 46 yards, and is 9 yards away from having a 1,000 yard season.

           7 Milestone on the Hill
Tyreek got 5 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown. That made him hit 1,000 yards for the first time.

           8 The offense can celebrate.
The Pit stop was kinda funny.

9 The suspension probably worked. Peters has 2 interceptions for 3 passes defensed, made a clutch tackle, and helped force a tackle.

10 Ron Parker had a nice outing as well.

11 Possible return of first five weeks Chiefs
They have looked good, but it has been against division rivals. I will wait until next week, until I decided to start saying that.
