Well it's been a little bit. As much as some of you want, I am not going to talk about the playoff loss.... yet. I'm going to push that and all the offseason talk off for just a little bit because lets be honest... while there has been some staff changes already, nothing really happens until March. So instead I figured i would first want to thank you all who have been reading these post for the last few months and want to say that I greatly appreciate it. I did not think when I launched it, that this would get as world wide as it did. So thank you for that, and I hope I have interested you enough to keep coming back for more articles in the future. So I think I've stalled enough so time for the personal stuff...
Hi! My name is Seamus Levin and I am a chiefs fan.( If you just though "Hi Seamus" you were totally inside my head just then.) I have been a lifelong football and chiefs fan; however, I didn't start being obsessed with it until the 2014 season. Sadly for me, that was also the 2-14 season. I do remember the days of Priest Holmes, Trent Green, and Tony Gonzales though. My favorite player probably has to be Eric Berry. He has shown off and on the field discipline, determination, and leadership. Those are things that are becoming harder to find all three with players. My favorite Chiefs podcast is hard to say because the ones I listen to are so good. I feel like Locked on Chiefs is 1a, Amateur hour is 1b, and the Blitzpackage is 1c. I also listen to the Arrowhead Pride podcast, the Chief in the North podcast and the Roughing the Kicker Podcast ( which is technically the Almost Entirely Sports show on ESPN Kansas city, but with only Chiefs stuff and a little bit of nonsense for good measure. I would encourage listening to all of those if you have the time. Also I feel like you can get a good grip on who a person is by there Legacy team line ups. So here is my skill position line up (with coaches and coordinators) for the Chiefs:
Head Coach: Andy Reid
Defensive Coordinator: Romeo Crennel
Offensive Coordinator: Todd Haley
QB: Trent Green, Len Dawson
RB: Jamaal Charles, Priest Holmes.
TE : Travis Kelce, Tony Gonzales
WR: Eddie Kennison, Tyreek Hill, Dwayne Bowe, Jeremy Maclin, Sammy Parker
Defense (running a 3-4, no linemen)
OLB: Derrick Thomas, Tamba Hali (still haven't seen enough of Houston, even though he is a dominant force)
ILB: Derrick Johnson, Willie Lanier
CB: Brandon Flowers, Ty Law, Marcus Peters, Brandon Carr, Darrelle Revis
S: Eric Berry, Hussein Abdullah, Kurt Coleman, Ron Parker
Special Teams
K:Harrison Butker (he seems to have the most upside so far of all the kickers we have ever had.)
P: Dustin Colquitt ( Can you remember a better punter for the Chiefs?)
KR: Dante Hall (This is because we only saw one year of Hill with kick returns)
PR: Tyreek Hill ( If they ever punt it to him.)
Anyway, I am a 17 year old High School Senior at Mexico High School. And for those of you who just asked if I meant the country,(nothing against you, we Mexicoans just hear it a lot. By the way, that is what we get called.) I do not. There is a small town of about 11,000 people smack dab in the middle of Missouri. That is what I am talking about. For you Basketball fans, that is Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue's hometown. I currently still live with my parents and hold a part time job at Soft Surroundings. I am a Christian. I have played football and Soccer, and have participated in track and competive swimming. My favorite sport is obviously Football otherwise this blog would not be a thing ( by me at least.), but Soccer is a close second. My favorite food is probably Pizza Rolls, or Pizza Hot Pockets. I just can't resist the tastiness. I am a Bi-partisan from all social issues ranging from gun control to Cat v.s. Dog. Ultimately I just want to have fun with life, and share that fun with other people.
I am planning to attend College of the Ozarks down in Point Lookout, Missouri for a bachelors degree in radio production. After that I plan to get hired by hopefully a sportstalk radio station( Kansas City would be prefereable, but a job is a job. In addition to that I hope to either keep this blog up, and have this grow in popularity, or write at one of the bigger sites like Arrowhead Pride or Arrowhead Addict. Also I will try to get a teaching degree in physical education so I can be a soccer or a football coach.
I am always down to talk football, especially Chiefs football. So if you want to discus something football related or general life related don't be afraid to either comment, email at seamoose84@gmail.com, or follow me and DM me on instagram @seamoose84. I have no life and would absolutely love to have conversations with you! Be sure to share with your friends and stay tuned for more news, articles and all things Chiefs!
